If the foreign buyer goes to do the title transfer of the car by himself, this document will not be needed.         There are registration, acquisition and education taxes to be paid when purchasing a car. Automobile tax must be paid twice a year. Automobile tax varies depending on engine displacement (1,500cc about 150,000 won / 2,000cc about 270,000 won).         The procedures necessary for contracting car insurance are the same as Korean citizens. Consult a car insurance company. Make sure bring your passport and Alien Registration Certificate.   An International driver’s license is as valid as a Korean driver’s.
